Crozer Health Clinical Neurophysiology Lab Accredited by Laboratory Accreditation Board
The Clinical Neurophysiology Lab at Crozer-Chester Medical Center recently received its fourth five-year accreditation from the Laboratory Accreditation Board of ABRET, effective through June 2027. This award recognizes the technical quality of the electroencephalograms (EEGs) performed and the highest standard of care provided in the CNP field.
“I’m thrilled for our team to achieve this recognition,” said Margie Dieter-Murphy, Clinical Director of the Crozer Health Clinical Neurophysiology Lab. “The lab continues to work hard for the best patient care in CNP testing and maintains the highest quality in neurodiagnostic care. The ABRET accreditation sets our lab apart from others and symbolizes the best quality clinical neurophysiology testing in the safest environment.”
The Clinical Neurophysiology Lab performs tests including electroencephalogram (EEG), which measures electrical activity in the brain, electromyography (EMG), which assesses the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them, and Evoke potential (which measures the electrical activity in areas of the brain and spinal cord). The lab also performs newborn baby hearing screenings.
“We commend you on your desire to continue to promote excellence and competency among your staff technologists which has had a positive influence on their performance,” said Vishwanath Sagi, M.D., Chairman, LAB-EEG for ABRET. “You are to be commended for going the extra step to benefit the neurology community and your patients. Thank you for your desire to -be an ABRET-accredited EEG Laboratory, where quality is the focus and standards are in place.”
